For my get pushed challenge from April @aecasey - Since this is the last week of 2014 I thought it would be fun for you to create an image that represents the passing of time. I like your forays into Photoshop, and thought this challenge might work well with your growing skills.
I have chosen to portray an agapanthus flower from bud through to fully opened!
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
@aecasey April, I hope this meets the challenge you gave me. I did have another idea that I wanted to try out but unfortunately time was not on my side.
Fantastic! I love the progression, the use of the film strip, that gorgeous background, and the shadow. I agree with Annie ... would love to be able to do something like this.
@annied@aecasey I have added a link to the tutorial I follwed in my description. I used one of my sunrise photos as my background instead of creating a background using different gradients.
PS, I've just tried this tutorial and it worked. You realise you are going to have a whole bunch of copycat posts! I'm going to use mine for a Dabelle series. Thank you!
Cool image! I'm your get-pushed partner for the week. It's been fun to look through your photos. Looks like you've got a lot of experience and take a variety of images. I'm sure you've gotten many challenges before, so if this is too similar to a past one, let me know!
This week, I challenge you to pick one aperture to shoot with for an entire day (or the whole week, if you want!). The aperture level is up to you.
@ludgate thanks for the challenge. I always shoot using aperture priority so this won't be a problem. I'll try using an aperture that I don't normally use.
oh, i like this. i like this very much. you outdid yourself with this one. you rocked this challenge. and where was i that i didn't see this right away? :-(
