Dianne it is usual for them in built up areas but we are very close to open/farm land where they are able to hunt for food

we are so privileged that this pair of Spotted Eagle Owls seem to have chosen our garden (swimming pool area) as their home. They have now been here daily since late November. We will be placing an owl box up and hopefully they will use it when the breeding season comes around. This was one of the first times that I have seen one of them on the ground, they are usually up on the pergola in amongst the ornamental vine.
