Fire Chopper by salza

Fire Chopper

A tribute to firefighters.

Awoke this morning to the devastating news that our fire fighting chopper pilot had passed away. His chopper crashed whilst figting a fire, resulting in the loss of two lives.

A loving husband and father, a friend and a true gentleman. D will always be remembered with fondness. Rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of your and the family's loss. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. Such self-sacrifice is uncommon. But you've given him a wonderful tribute here.

emotional tribute. did you know the pilot?

@ninaganci I did Nina, this is him flying over my house. I took this picture at the end of February when we had a fire that raged for 7 or 8 days. He went from fighting this fire to help out with the huge fire in Cape Town. I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that he'll never fly by again.
