Keeping a watchful eye

It is so fun to watch the hummingbirds. This one would sit atop the Japanese maple tree which is directly opposite the feeders. When another hummer would try to visit the feeders, she would zoom over and chase it away. They can be quite aggressive for such little things!

Being buzzed by a 'hummer' is unsettling for sure. We have a few that practice their dive bomber skills too.

I took down my feeder. I haven't seen the liquid go down for a while so not going to fill it upuntil next spring. I am wondering if the cats have scarred them away or if they have better feeding somewhere.
