Reservations are required for Rocky Mountain National Park from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but after 5 you can enter without a reservation. Today, I drove up and entered about 6 p.m. and I was lucky enough to capture Aspen that actually had turned orange as well as the usual yellow.
We hiked around Bear Lake last year around this time, though just a bit later. There was ice on the trail left over from an early snowstorm and none of this gorgeous color. Still a beautiful spot. Great capture !!
@mjmaven It was around 66 degrees at Bear Lake yesterday and we are expecting it to get to 90 today on the Front Range. La Nina is keeping us warmer than usual this fall.
