The best way to explore a place is on foot. These two loners are exploring Malta’s medieval capital city, Mdina – a gem of a place and a car-free old city (except for residents). With narrow streets, beautfiul palazzi, and alleys, it is a major attraction in Malta. Mdina knows its origins to some 4000 years ago, during the Bronze Age. The covered bridge in the picture links St Dorothy’s Convent (a nunnery) with St Dorothy’s School. I think, though, that the school doesn’t operate from here any longer – it has moved to a new state-of-the-art school built in Zebbug. Michaela (my grand daughter) goes to the school’s junior classes in Sliema.
This is a fav - love the buildings - the bridge - I just plain love buildiings - Have been reading your narritive with your pictures, it is really interesting reading - thank you for posting the story with the pictures.
