A narrow street in the old part of Senglea. These streets were designed to take carriages drawn by horses. They are now pedestrianised. Senglea was developed by the Knights of St John in the early years of their rule in Malta, that is 16th century. Most of these places are well-cared for by the government or the proud owners.
Many thanks for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
looks like a good spot for a mystery. most of the older streets in my area were designed so a wagon and 4 horse team could turn around without backing up.
This is a fav. I am a sucker for old buildings, narrow streets, cobble stones, and then to get people ...well done. And I like the black and white or what ever colour they call it. Well done.
This is so well presented, that I can almost re-gress back to a time going down this street in a covered horse drawn carriage with a lighted lamp on either side!....well done!
