The extremely mild weather we are experiencing this Autumn has given the roses in my garden additional vigour to have a second period of blooming. This is one rose I like. It is a climber and is very prolific in producing beautiful blooms.
About the song: “(I never promised you) a Rose Garden”: It is performed by Lynn Anderson and appears on the album Rose Garden (1971), on the album Golden Classics Edition (1997) and on the album On Top Of The World (2005)
Joe South, who wrote the song, recorded it on his debut album in 1968. However, it was Lynn Anderson's version, 2-3 years later, that made it a hit (Info from Wikipedia)
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments and the fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
That is a gorgeous rose.....the color is amazing, and I can almost smell it!! Do you prune your roses in the winter, too?! With our mild weather here they need to be pruned severely in January in order to stop production and rest before spring!
I like your flower photos, especially the two different stages you've shown here. The lighting on the right is my favorite and also love the pink! So pretty!
