I had other ideas in mind for today’s posting but had to post this collage of shots. After spending the day out at Max’s party and a leisure lunch out we went to Denise (my daughter)’s house. Christine helped her pack all the Christmas decorations. Having nothing to do I switched on the tv and on the Italian National TV Station, Rai I there was a direct transmission of the massive march against terrorism.
This was a rally – the largest in France’s history - for unity against terrorism. French media estimated that up to 3 million people took part - I would have been one of them if I were in Paris. Leaders from more than 40 nations were among those at the march. Demonstrations were also held in cities around France and around the world.
Joke: One day the first grade teacher was reading the story of Chicken Little to her class. She came to the part of the story where Chicken Little tried to warn the farmer. She read, '... And so Chicken Little went up to the farmer and said, 'The sky is falling, the sky is falling!'
The teacher paused then asked the class, 'And what do you think that farmer said?'
One little girl raised her hand and said, 'I think he said:
'Holy Shit! A talking chicken!''
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture.
Great images of this day in Paris. So very sad and says something about humanity pulling together like they have. This is what needs to happen all over our world. Love your joke. Nice to laugh.
How I feel about this latest tragedy has all been said above. These horrific events are senseless, barbaric and serve no purpose. And it seems there's just no end to it. I'm glad you added that fun joke to cheer my mood ;-)
THIS is so amazing! We do not have much TV coverage right now....this is a most powerful image and I am so glad to see it and thank you for sharing it! FAV x infinity!!!!
