There is a play area for children with a few farm animals for them to appreciate and to enjoy. There were these pygmy goats that were so cute and my grandson enjoyed himself feeding them leaves which he picked from the ground.
Joke: A group of US tourists were on a bus tour of France. One of their stops was at this little village where they visited a cheese farm where goat's cheese is made; their guide, who was the farmer's wife, led them through a process of cheese making, explaining how goat's milk was used.
Madame showed the group a picturesque hillside where many goats were grazing. She explained that these were the older goats put out to pasture when they no longer produced. Madame then asked, turning to the group, 'What do you do in the US with your old goats that aren't producing?'
One spry and very quick elderly gentleman answered, 'They send us on bus tours.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Good shot! Goats are a lot of fun. Actually a good friend of mine used to raise goats and made her own cheese. So I do know what happens to them when they cannot produce any more. Goad meat is actually quite tasty.
