Shot taken on day 7 of our Black Forest vacation – 2st July 2015
Mainau island boasts of a lovely butterfly house. Butterflies were flitting around our heads and all over the place. I tried to capture them in flight but all I got was a few shots of them resting for split seconds on some leaf. This is one of the shots.
Today weather promises to be hot and sweaty in Malta. At 7.30am temperature was already 34C and humidity 96%. How shall we cool down? – in the blue Mediterranean where the sea temperature is 28%.
This evening our national team will be meeting Azerbaijan for Euro 2016. JP, Ian and I will be at the stadium supporting our team. Hope we get some points out of this match.
Joke: At a session of husbands' marriage seminars the priest asked Giuseppe, who said he was approaching his 50th wedding anniversary, to share some insight into how he had managed to stay married to the same woman all these years.
Giuseppe replied to the assembled husbands, "Well, my wife always wanted to visit Mainau Island on Lake Geneve. So, for our 25th anniversary I took her there."
The priest responded, "Giuseppe, you are an amazing inspiration to all the husbands here. Please tell us what you are planning for your wife for your 50th anniversary?"
Giuseppe proudly replied, " I'ma gonna go pick her up."
Many thanks for looking and for all the comments on yesterday's picture.
Well done! Having been to a butterfly house I know how difficult it is to isolate a subject and capture it. There's so many of them flitting about so quickly, it's difficult to know where to look.
A great fav. capture of this beautiful butterfly. I`ve always the same trouble capture them. To cool down: take a trip to our country . This afternoon. 15 o Celc. and little rain showers.
Super colour and capture.
I hope you enjoy the match!
