The smallest island in the Maltese archipelago. The name is believed to come from felfel, the Arabic for a peppercorn. I took the shot from Dingli Cliffs.
In the years when Malta was a British colony (that is up to 1964) the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force used the island for target practice. After gaining independence, the Maltese Government made Filfla a bird reserve in 1980 and it is now a Nature reserve. Access to Filfla is today only possible for educational or scientific purposes.

I bet you can see some beautiful sunrise/sets from that spot (depending on which way it's facing). Great shot. I have to agree with you on the pet grave- a cross does seem out of place.
