It is both – Christine, the woman behind my life who I still adore after these long years of marriage and the Roman bridge leading into the historic centre of Cordoba, Andalusia – history is another of my loves.
So this starts a second series of shots from our Easter week in Andalusia, Spain. I have now completed my processing of the second day of our holiday.
I have edited the background heavily as the day was too sunny and there was a strong haze in the air.
The Roman bridge was originally built in the early 1st century BC across the Guadalquivir river. It has undergone reconstruction at various times since. Most of the present structure dates from the Moorish reconstruction in the 8th century.
Many thanks for your views, comments, and FAV’s. They are very much appreciated.
Lovely capture of both subjects. I love history too and to gaze on structures as old as this fascinates me. I can't help thinking of that old saying, "If walls could talk" or in this case "stones".
