The Good Friday processions should have been the main attraction of our holiday in Andalusia. But this was our only slight disappointment of the whole week. May say more tomorrow.
As soon as we arrived in the centre of Malaga, this statue of the madonna was coming by. I pushed my self through the crowd on the pavement to get two good shots. This is one of them.
The statues are not bigger than those we have in Malta but the ‘tronos’ (floats or pedestals) are so huge with hundreds of candles. Some of these ‘tronos’ weigh more than 5000Kg. and may have up to 170 bearers to carry them along the route.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
