Another shot from the Good Friday procession of Malaga.
This event was expected to be the highlight of the vacation but in the end it was a setback. After the lucky capture of the statue I showed yesterday when we arrived just as the statue appeared we had to wait for some two hours to see this one. By that time we were made to leave the place we were in three times and finished up behind a crowd - at least I found a doorstep from where I could take this shot and a few more. Then our time was up to leave because of arrangements made with the coach driver. I wanted to stay longer and take an underground train to Torremolinos but our Tour Manager said there weren't any - later I confirmed that there were. In the end we watched the event on tv in our hotel room.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
An amazing crowd to see this procession. You have great stamina to stay so long. I hate being herded from place to place, like my independence, can't always have it 8-)
My goodness that looks massive! That's too bad that this event turned out to be so disappointing. It hard when our expectations aren't met, but even worse when we find out we could have done something differently and improved the situation. I guess that's one of those live and learn type scenarios. It's still a dramatic photo though- good shot for the conditions!
