WINDOW ON THE PAST

Shot taken on 11th July, 2017 – fifth day of our Sorrento holiday.
Some of the shots I took when visiting Pompeii. What a fascinating story this recently recovered city has to tell! We had a guide with us to show us around. The guide explained – and showed us, too - even fast food shops of Roman times.

I have heard this is a fascinating place to see. I did see some of the artwork way back in the 70's when it came on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Great collage!
