Shot taken on 11th July, 2017 – fifth day of our Sorrento holiday.
After dinner at the hotel, many of us departed in two mini-vans to visit Positano. This is a shot (one of many) I took there.
Positano is in a small cove far below the cliffs and cannot be reached by the tourist coaches but by small vehicles. The winding narrow road down to Positano is full of 180 degree curves which are difficult to take if you don’t know the area. The faces of the ladies who were with us were ashen when we got off the mini-van.
I was amazed to see so much business going on in a God-forsaken place like that. The sandy beach is barely 200mtrs long and was all covered with sun beds.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
I adore Positano, one of our favourite places on that trip. We took the bus, which dropped us off at the top of the winding narrow roadway - just as well really! As you say, it is impassable by anything of size lower down. Small but fascinating and very picturesque. I didn't see it at night, so this is a lovely treat.
