STILL DOING WELL by sangwann

STILL DOING WELL

The orange tree in my garden is still doing well. This picture shows the last time I picked some oranges 2/3 days ago. I added the bottles of orange juice to make the backdrop of the picture more attractive but I’m not sure I like them.
Many thanks for your views, comments, and FAV’s. They are very much appreciated.
I love it Dione and must award a big fav. love how the bottle are lit up and the oranges have soft light. Makes me want a drink of OJ right now :)

Nothing better than home grown, lovely fresh oranges.
Nice capture.

A bountiful crop, I bet they are tasty :)

I would prefer it without the bottles, I think. The oranges have a lovely antique look on this table with this lighting. Quite still life.

What a beautiful crop of oranges -- I am so envious !! Dione ,I do not like the addition of the bottles -- I would prefer instead to see a glass jug of fresh orange juice to give the still life height ! But those oranges really make my mouth water !

They must be as juicy as they look.

We are at the Geneva Watch Fair, Dione - and a couple from Malta just sat down at our table! I was able to describe your wonderful photos and stories to them and they understood!

Great story telling shot. Maybe a glass of fresh juice rather than the bottles. Enjoy your bumper crop of oranges.

I have to agree with the "do not like" crowd. I like the idea but they don't seem to match the beautiful "au natural" oranges being manufactured bottles. I think maybe some in a bowl on a table with several on the table in front of the bowl might be the kind of still-life you're thinking of. Maybe even one of the oranges on the table could be cut open, or peeled and split. At least that might be the way I'd do it. That's pretty awesome you can pick your own right in your garden!

That's a great crop you have picked Dione.

Amazing how much fruit one can harvest from one tree. Enjoy.

Healthy looking crop. Clever set-up and capture. Each of the oranges have their stalk pointing up.

Nicely arranged too.

It must be wonderful to grow your own oranges. They are my favourite fruit. I’m definitely with the “ do not like “ opinion. A bowl of oranges on their own would be perfect or as Beryl says, a jug of freshly squeezed orange juice would go well.

Lucky you! I bet you get delicious juice out of those.
