Remember my two gnomes in my garden?
The other day I decided to give a little festive atmosphere for Christmas time to the garden during the evening hours when I can see it from the garage or while going between the garage and the house.
So I decided to place one of the gnomes in this corner with the intention of buying a lantern to place close to him and give him some company. But Christine said I will not find a lantern like I wanted in a shop and I do not like going around shops searching for what I want. Then, among all the paraphernalia I have in the garage, I found a transparent Quality Street container which I had given to Christine full of chocolate for last Christmas; this gave me an idea: I found an old broom in the garage which I did not throw away and was using it as a hand broom; patiently I removed all the brushes/hairs; I then found an old metal rod with a screw at one end what remained from a Vileda brush and bore a hole right through the brush and the stick for the electricity wire. I found an old bulb holder screwed it on to a piece of wood and bolted the brush to the container top and the wood; then connected the power supply through the stick and screwed the top of the chocolate container upside down to its lid. Christine added a few ribbons.
And now Mr Gnome looks much happier during this dull and wet season.
