This is Max near the figurehead (in Maltese ‘Pulena’) of HMS Hibernia. I asked Max to pose for me near it to show its size.
HMS Hibernia was a 110-gun first rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy. She was launched on 17 November 1804. It was flagship of the British Mediterranean Fleet from 1816 until 1855 and based at Malta.
Her figurehead, was preserved and kept at Fort St Angelo. It is a today a pride exhibit in Malta’s Maritime Museum.
I posted a shot of this figurehead some time ago but then it was my brother who posed for me.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
(Our country has the same problem. The increse of people needs more houses. Gladly most of them want to live in the big cities. But when it`s raining there we have some of the drops too.The neighbourhood I live is build in the years 1967-1990 )
