This is an attempt to manually merge two different shots, taken from different angles and from different distances. The aim is to show the Fath Al Khair a 40-metre-long dhow boat which arrived in Malta on September 25th and will remain moored in Malta for nine months before setting off on its next voyage in June. Its stop in Malta ends a tour intended to showcase Qatari international heritage to the world.
Its cruise, which is organized by the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara - also aims to promote the FIFA 2022 World Cup that will be held in Qatar together with all the preparations that are taking place for this important event.
The boat was open to the public for two days and on the first day, with my elder brother Joe, I went first thing in the morning to visit it. My misfortune was that after spending a hell of a time to find a parking near to or even far from the boat, when we final came to the boat we were told it is only open in the evening.
Thank you so much for looking, for your comments and fav's.
Nice merging of the two pictures with some interesting information. Such a shame you couldn't go round the boat, oh the missed photo opertunities.....
