DON QUIXOTE by sangwann

DON QUIXOTE

September 14th – first full day of our Sicily holiday with the family
Doesn’t this scene remind you of the world famous novel by Miguel de Cervantes (first published in 1605). The difference between this scene which is in Sicily is that the Cervantes novel takes the reader to the province of La Mancha, Spain.
This is our first view of the Salt Pans of Trapani, our first planned visit of the day. You can see the heaps of salt together with the two old windmills. The pans in the picture are still full of sea water.
Thank you very much for looking, for your comments and fav's.
Great shot and explanation. Now that you’ve mentioned it, yes, I can picture Don Quixote.
