STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOR EVER

More shots taken ten days ago when I drove to Mġarr area which is mostly an agricultural hub. Strawberries are one of the main crops in this area – very beautiful and very delicious. They are mostly grown in cloches for protection. These are two of the many fields, small and big, which grow strawberries. Once a year Mġarr – in Spring, I think – holds a day-long strawberries festival where strawberries and strawberries products are sold. Many people attend for this event but I have never been there till now.
Remember the song with the same title by the Beatles? The Beatles has always been my favourite band, together with The Shadows.

I used to love the Shadows too! I have found that strawberries grown in large farms are not as flavoursome as the ones from your own garden. But you say these are delicious!

I also love The Shadows. Hank Marvin was a genius with that guitar. Always loved Cliff Richard too. Wonderful voice, wonderful performer.

Lovely shot of these beauiful strawberry fields. I regularly think of the song as I live in an area with huge strawberry fields. I used to love the Shadows too.

Gosh, that’s a lot of strawberries. I have to admit I only eat British strawberries so I only eat them in summer. I try very hard to cut down on air miles where food is concerned.
