LESSON LEARNT

But not completely.
My walk in the Wardija open countryside didn’t last very long. I saw a narrow lane and decided to explore. Two dogs came out to block my way and I immediately sounded the retreat, remembering what happened to me earlier this year – or was it last year? – when I was attacked by a dog and bitten in the arm. However, I have not learnt to take a trekking rod with me in case I need to defend myself.
Thank you very much for your looks and comments. Thank you also for your condolences.
I’d be outta there too. Great shot.

Wise move to make a hasty retreat you never know if they are going to be friendly or not.

Friendly or not ? you can never be sure - Good move to not trust your luck. Once bitten , twice shy ,as the saying goes !

Hope you were save.

Oh dear...One never knows a dog's tendencies.

I'm a dog-lover and noticed in the park where I used to walk my 2 dogs 2 years ago that the panic reaction of some people scared my dogs. Especially Dino's reaction when on the leash made him look very mean and aggressive.
So my advise is to be super careful with dogs. You never know if a dog is friendly or not. Leaving is always the best option, but do it calmly - they definitely feel if you are panicking or if you are aggressive and they therefor might react worse.

Good decision. Alway other places to explore

Probably a wise decision! They obviously feel it's their territory!

I remember that incident very well. You made a wise choice!

Beautiful shot, love the prickly pears. Good that you turned around as they do not look very friendly!
December 1st, 2020

The risks we sometimes end up taking for a photograph! I can recommend carrying a walking pole, they are useful against agressive animals.

Oh dear! I remember how badly you were hurt
These dogs do look vicious and ready to attack, You still managed to captured them, Very brave of you
December 1st, 2020
Best to be careful with strange dogs which look threatening

I would have beat a hasty retreat too....they look quite challenging standing there together. Not good when you can’t go down a road because of dogs though...should they be loose like that in the road? I wouldn’t even have gone down there if I had been carrying a waking pole...might have made them worse!
December 1st, 2020
Better to be safe than sorry especially when you have had a previous bad experience.
December 1st, 2020
Wise choice. I would have done the same.
December 1st, 2020
Well dicided. Would have done the same
December 1st, 2020
They seem to be very keyed in on you but it's hard to tell what they're thinking- unless you hear that low growl and see hair standing up! Better leave- be safe- and not sorry! Good shot.
December 1st, 2020
as a dog lover , dogs should not be roaming around like this !
stay safe (from dogs and covid) !
December 1st, 2020
Oh my. I love animals and don’t understand when I see dogs roamin free (rarely do see that, thankfully) but I always worry the dog will get hit... not that it would attack! Glad you turned around. Yes, start taking a stick. Not ok that people have animals and not looks after them. Great shot but geesh, I’d rather see what’s up ahead! Lol be safe out there.
December 2nd, 2020
There looks say don't come any closer; I would have turned around also.
