Finally I got the last of the shots of the watchtowers built by the Order of St John (and of Malta). I took shots from every angle but this is the one I liked most. This tower has a balcony and a ladder which none of the others have, so I presume they are additions of a later date. When I returned home I took a shot of myself in the garden and then layered me on the tower shot I chose to give some additional interest to the whole scene.
When I walked into the hotel I found a concierge at the reception desk who was such a lovely and helpful chap and who, after taking my details and my temperature, even offered to and accompanied me to where the tower was and allowed me to stay as long as I liked. When ready I had to ask the way back as I got lost along the hotel corridors. I passed by to thank the chap at the Reception Desk before I went out the door happy. The hotel is one of the big 5* hotels in Malta and I was very sorry to see such a luxury hotel so void of people except for a couple of men doing some maintenance work.
