TA' PINU SHRINE

Every time you go to Gozo you have to visit this Basilica which is the shrine of Our Lady of Pinu. It is said that, in 1883, The Holy Virgin appeared to a certain woman. Karmni Grima while Karmni was returning home through the fields of Pinu - Hence the name ‘Our Lady of Pinu’. Karmni is a Maltese version of Carmen while Pinu stands for Philip.
