Shot taken Friday before last while on a bench with friends at the Sliema promenade enjoying a little breeze after a hot day. This is another of the fireworks I managed to capture ready for the festa of Our Lady of Lourdes, to whom the San Gwann Parish is dedicated. This was just a little prelude to what was to come the next day, the eve of the festa. There was an amazing fireworks display on the eve of the festa and I will show a few of them after a series from Bruges.
Thank you so much for all your looks, all your comments and all the fav's. - always appreciated.
Today is a Public Holiday, the feast of The Assumption of Our Lady plus an important event during WWII. There are many feasts around both Malta and Gozo and the sky should be alight with fireworks - not in our area though.
