One more shot from the Mall at Floriana. This is another fountain which I like how it is light after sunset. There was a lady taking pictures there too.
Floriana is an extension of Valletta. It is protected by a line of fortifications. Valletta is surrounded by three lines of fortifications, starting at 'Bombi", then the Floriana fortifications and finally by the fortifications of the city which are the strongest and most difficult to overcome.
With the invention of airplanes these fortifications, like those of other fortified towns have become just tourist attractions.
