Two months ago, Max had a one-day holiday and I started to think which interesting place to take him. I decided to go to the Inquisitor’s Palace at Birgu better known with foreigners as Vittoriosa. It was a Monday and guess what when we arrived at the door? It is closed on Mondays and, all the way from home, I had been describing to him for whom the palace was built and for what reason. Max enjoys hearing my history lessons. It was a disappointment but not far away was Fort St Angelo so I decided to go for a short walk along the historic narrow streets of the city and visit the fort for the umpteenth time. It was a very hot sunny day and I did my best to walk in the shade.
These are two shots I took of Vittoriosa as we strolled around the city.
Thank you for your response on yesterday's picture - always appreciated.
Erroneously I put L-Isla as the title but the place is Birgu. Both cities very close to each other such that you don't know that you exited one and entered the other.

( And very expensive.)
sorry to learn the palace was shut
