NAPFLIO

From the 6th day of our Athens holiday - 18th February, 2023.
An hour’s drive from Epidaurus Theatre took us to Napflio, a gorgeous seaside city and an important touristic destination. In the middle of the bay is Bourtzi, a 15th-century island fortress which later served as home to the executioners no one wanted to live near. Closer to where I stopped to take this shot was a boat which was coming in to unload a couple it had earlier taken to visit Bourtzi. I would have liked to visit the fortress but we only had time to take a walk along the sea promenade.
