Celebrating the end of a beautiful day. And also my 5000th post on 365. Amazing how time flies.
One last shot from day 4 – 23/07/2024 - of our famiy break in Sicily. Another eventful day over. We ended the day with a lovely meal at one of these open air restaurants. If I am not mistaken I had a delicious plate of Sicilian pasta.
In the background is the Castello di Donnafugata which looked so beautiful at night. The castle was taking in visitors for a special occasion, maybe a wedding party. Later, I spoke to the security people at the door and asked them if it is open for the general public and they said ‘yes, but not when there is a special function like that day’.
Something about the castle. Currently it houses the Costume Museum, a place where it is possible to retrace and learn about the evolution of clothes, customs and traditions of the families who have frequented the property over the centuries. It has also been chosen several times as a set for scenes of various Italian films
Thank you very much for all your looks, for your comments and for the fav's on yesterday's picture.
Tomorrow I start posting a few shots I took in Malta lately.
This is a gorgeous setting & beautiful light. A really nice shot!
I just checked mine and was very surprised to see the figures of 9,660 ;-)
