NEOS 2019 by sarah19

NEOS 2019

At this time of year, we have the pleasure of exploring the talent of local artists across North East Scotland. It's a delight even if we can only travel a short distance! We went across the park to the Bowling Club where some of the craftspeople were gathered to display, chat about/sell their beautiful items.
We bought a gorgeous painted stone to keep the kitchen door from slamming into a unit behind it (especially when little guys are around), a fabulous soap product, using local ola oil and lavender scent - wrapped in felted wool - so it doesn't leave anything on the soapdish, no waste, and the wool can go in the compost heap when it is finished. I must say I feel it could be used for another bar of soap but we'll see!
And you see the NEOS book and map in the photo too. If I wasn't at work I think I'd be out exploring lots of lovely places.
Three good things
1. Lovely visit to NEOS.
2. Also two new mugs......Allan went back over when I was out for a walk with a friend!
3. Coffee after dinner in the new mugs....delightful!
What a delightful idea....would love to browse like that in local talent...so personal buying favourite things from your neighbourhood. The felted soap wrap sounds very interesting!

Oh that sounds like so much fun. I’ve seen those soaps, they are lovely to look at and have a lovely fragrance. They look nice as decorations even if you don’t use them.

How lovely - I went to one in Ballater on Saturday - a photography exhibition. It was really good, but I didn't buy anything. I must check out other stuff near us.
