Encouraged by my sister to go home for a break/refresh I drove back after lunch. It was fine. Had the sweetest chat with Mum who said 'very good ' when I told her my plan. I knew she had plenty nurses an carers around.
Roads were busy and reaching Elgin I needed to stop for a coffee (and cake!) So Johnstone's of Elgin was perfect and I found some lovely cosy things for a tiny fraction of their original cost!
Than back on the road, wet, busy and getting very dark.....not pleasant as no dual carriageway and vehicles travelling very fast!
Home 2 minutes before Allan arrived. That was a lot of days apart but great to be together.
Three good things
1. All the familiar colours and spaces I love.
2. Champagne and pizza for tea.....ππ
3. Early to bed and Mum had a good day.
Donβt you hate driving in the dark these days? My eyes canβt seem to cope with these modern LED lights on cars...so glary!
Good to get home & you need a break....glad mum is being cared for beautifully....Iβm sure her lovely smile still radiates her face.

A change is good and relaxing, you must look after you Sarah.
Gorgeous colours in your photo
Thank you for your lovely comments. Champagne really does go with Pizza if you have good company and back home!!
