At the end of what might have been a difficult day we had a delightful supper at Pizza Express. Great service from Carlo and so nice to relax instead of a long drive home.
We had driven to Inverness for the funeral of a cousin of Allan. Mairi had several years of difficult health issues though she was younger than us, and passed away a few weeks ago in her own home.
But the service was lovely, led by a pastor who knew her from her teenage years and readings by a friend from her school days. Her mum had died almost 30 years ago, buy her dad is in a care home up this way, and close to her sister.
Quite a number of cousins had travelled a distance for the service and tomorrow she will be laid to rest on the Isle of Skye where her mum grew up.

Strange how a funeral an be quite enjoyable…sometimes it’s the only time we catch up with long distance family friends, I’m sure your relation would be happy looking down on you all remembering her with love.
