I've had an excellent recipe for Sticky Toffee Pudding since 1991 but this year Allan found a Seasonal version so we had a go!
The lovely dish was a gift from a lovely parent of one of my class last session - from America and it was full of Pumpkin Pie when she gave it to me! Delicious.....but so was the new recipe.
I'm one of these people who adapts rather than follows recipes to the letter/ounce!!
So I used my own recipe and successfully adapted it with new ingredients. Enjoyed by everyone - and an extra dish for New Year's Day.
Three good things
1. A quiet day.....Allan is working..... Christmas meal for the families of the residents at the care home so he had tables to set up and other related things! I thought it was a rather nice gesture!
2. Really enjoyed watching several episodes of 'The Crown' on Netflix! This is not something I have EVER done before!!!
3. Finished the ironing pile. It was so nice having guests over Christmas and I don't mind doing the tidy up etc chores now that they have all gone home.
