Danish writer, playwright, poet. Famous for his fairy tales including The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, The Nightinggale. He was raised in poverty but worked hard, after he was inspired by his father to be on the stage. He moved to Copenhagen and lived in Nyhavn. He overcome many adversities to become a very famous and accomplished Danish writer. Inspiring man and story we learnt at the Museum today
