When my middle child was born, a friend stitched this little sampler for her as a gift. I love the delicate colors and the little sheep button.
Counted cross-stitch is one of my favorite hobbies that I've had to put on hold for a while. I like watching all the little Xes come together to form a word or a picture, and find it rhythmic and soothing. But while knitting can be dropped at a moment's notice to tend to a child, counted cross-stitch really requires a lot of uninterrupted stretches of time.
Hopefully by the time I have those stretches of time again I'll still be able to see all those tiny holes!
