It was getting towards bedtime, and when my little guy gets tired he pops in the thumb and holds someone's hand. In this case, middle sister was the nearest.
I used to think he'd sleep so well if I could only keep my hand in his crib with him all night...but a realistic hand-lovey would be a little creepy...
@cybelle Pretty well, thanks for asking! He's even doing a decent job napping there. Better yet, the mornings are much more peaceful - he still wakes up super early, but if he gets up before I manage to get out of the shower he just sits in his bed and looks at books. Before, he'd yell for me until I made it to his room. :)
