My 6th grader was told to dress up as what she wants to be for career day today.
How do you dress like an astrophysicist? A nerdy shirt, a lab coat, a space encyclopedia...it will have to do!
So, why are there no girl's shirts with space, science or math on them? (In stores - online there are plenty.) I don't know why it continues to surprise me nearly 12 years into buying clothes for my girls, but I am so irritated that girls are apparently only supposed to like unicorns, rainbows, kittens, glitter, princesses, butterflies, and the like. Not a STEM shirt to be found anywhere. Best we could do was a boy's minecraft "constellations" shirt...
