My mother turned 90 today. I have insisted on a new family tradition that you have to sip your birthday drink out of a straw on your 90th and she complied this evening.
I am very lucky to care for her now and thankful for every sacrifice she made for me without ever complaining. She was always the one that suddenly wasn't hungry for dessert when only one was left, that stayed up at night when I was sick as a child to make sure I was ok, that knew intuitively when something was wrong.
It was an overwhelmingly great day to help her celebrate!
Happy Birthday to Mom - do hope to be as chipper and look half as good when I reach that age (not that far any more - my how time accelerates once you pass 65) What a wonderful relationship you two must have. Love the picture celebrating this special day.

So, Happy Birthday to a great lady, and I hope you have many more years with her in your life!! She must have been a great mom, and you appear to be a great son!!
