SURPRISE SUPRISE....

These days photos come knocking on my door! Had to share this one. After cleaning the house I had a shower this afternoon. As I walked to the kitchen after the shower I felt something on the back of my leg. At first I thought it was a little branch with leaves, but then I felt it move. I don't have to say that this was the fastest I got rid of my tracksuit pants. Out comes this fellow. He must have got into the pants earlier the week and the pant was in the cupboard up to this afternoon. Left him outside afterwards.
O my goodness!

Sorry, but I have just been roaring with laughter at the thought of this. Not sure I would have if it was my tracksuit!

I'm anthropomorphising, but I think he's saying we should look at this experience from his perspective.

Nice shot, like the depth of field you have used.

@gijsje Yes about the size of a grashopper but this one was BIG.The closest relatives of mantises are the termites and cockroaches (Blattodea), which are all within the superorder Dictyoptera. Mantises are sometimes confused with stick insects (Phasmatodea), other elongated insects such as grasshoppers (Orthoptera), or other insects with raptorial fore legs such as mantisflies (Mantispidae https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantis_(disambiguation
