Bedtime

I couldn't believe my eyes. The guineafowls sleeping up high.

Guineafowl (/ˈɡɪnifaʊl/; sometimes called "pet speckled hen", or "original fowl" or guineahen) are birds of the family Numididae in the order Galliformes. They are endemic to the continent of Africa and rank among the oldest of the gallinaceous birds.

They are not commonly found here in the wild. About 30 years ago my husband had a few and as they became more they did spread. There is only a few left in the area now.
Lovely shot! We have plenty here in Western Cape! My sister has a huge family which comes daily to be fed! They also sleep in the trees and are exceptionally noisy when they wake up 😉

Did you turn this on an angle? You must have or the fowls would have fallen off! Aren't they nice eating? Or can't you catch them?

Very pretty shot. I didn't even see the little birds at first. Good eye, Sylvia.

I haven't often seen them up trees. They can be a real menace, running across roads and into traffic.

@sdutoit HI We are get pushed partners this week. How about choosing your favourite colour and capture 3 different objects in that colour. You could either make a collage or combine them into one photo. I hope that is ok for you.

@kiwinanna Sorry for not entering this week. With the painting of our house things were a bit to much for me this week. I will keep this challenge till there is time to do so. Thanks anyway.
