It was unbelievably hot today with temperatures around 40C, and very humid. The clouds started rolling in late afternoon, and by sunset they were too dense to see any sunset. But we got lightning and thunder instead. We "never" get lightning in this area so it is quite special and the first time I've had an opportunity to try and shoot it. Looks like it might be raining over there in the west over the sea. Hope we get some rain too!
That's a fabulous shot Desi! It's so hard to capture lightening! Our weather is changing, so we're getting more humidity and more electrical storms like this than we used to. There's one forecast for today actually....

Thank you all. Lightening is quite rare here too, so I was really glad I had made the effort to go out somewhere. I had been hoping for a sunset, but watching this display and trying to capture some of the strikes was so much better!
P.S. We didn't get any rain last night, and the night was uncomfortably hot. Today is even hotter and more humid than yesterday without a breath of wind.
