Wonderful afternoon being part of this fun event. 7 couples. Each serving one course paired with an appropriate beverage. The grand finale was this beautiful cheese platter for each of us served with little shots of wine, Port, stout, cider etc.
My afternoon was marred by concern and exhaustion after a 5am dash to the hospital when the staff phoned and told me to get there quickly. By the time I got there, they had resuscitated her, but never-the-less I had my phone handy right through the afternoon just in case of another call. By now she has "recovered" but looking so much weaker than a week ago! This has been a tough journey for her as well as for me.
