Went on a PhotoWalkers outing in Cape Town with Karen today. The venue was a model train club, and I just couldn't seem to get in the right frame of mind to find the shots that were there, especially when the place was crawling with other photographers. But on our way home we went via Hopefield where Karen had heard about a fire that devastated one of the old houses. I know I have to change my mindshift and use the opportunities even when I do feel uncomfortable amongst so many other people, but I did notice my photos from this almost solo, deserted venue, seemed better somehow. Karen and I stay out of each other's way, and I feel less pressure to grab a shot and move on.
