Been a busy couple of weeks, and extremely stressful - I've hardly even touched my camera. Tonight I decided the dishes can just wait - but then felt paralysed with indecision. I had no idea what I was going to shoot. So I decided the best would be to try and pick up from where I left off. This is my attempt to learn to create Rembrandt lighting. Not quite right yet, but perhaps Harriet doesn't have enough shape in her cheeks? (Or am I just making excuses?) But I did at least manage a sort of triangle of light under her eye.
@vignouse Thanks Richard - I will take her hat off - she just looks so bald! But maybe that's not a bad thing! They do say you should learn on an egg don't they. One thing that is bothering me so far is that to get the triangle of light on her cheek I had to bring the light a little in front of her ... and for a real person it might be a bit bright on the eyes ...
