A walk in the woods

Trip into Cape Town today to drop hubby off at the airport. The South Easter was howling but I braved the wind and went home via a farm in the winelands called Babylonstoren. They have amazing gardens and a huge section of clivias in full bloom - different shades of orange, yellow, and even white clivias. Unfortunately the flower closeups are mostly rather blurry due to the gusty wind and I was also worried about my camera in the dust blowing around - although it was quite calm in this little patch of woodland.
Looks like beautiful gardens. Hope you enjoyed.

A lovely shot of one of my favourite places to visit. I was there just a few weeks ago ;-)

I was so surprised to see this was your photo Desi - such a different landscape to what you usually post. Lovely.

@lynne5477 Thank you. The gardens there are lovely. One day I'll go back there for more

@ludwigsdiana I've never been before, but had heard about it. It is rather far for me to easily get there (especially with the latest fuel price increases) but I really would like to go back there some day when we are likely not to have a South Easter buffeting everything around so much - not to mention the incredible dust storms that caused me to want to shield my poor camera inside my windcheater

@777margo Yes indeed, I was very impressed with the gardens overall - so many different types of gardens and flowers...

@narayani Thanks Narayani. Yes completely different. I didn't get many decent shots out of the experience - apart from the wind blowing all the flowers around so much, I don't have any experience with shooting in the shade like this, so it was all new to me, but a very enjoyable day all the same
