My brother in law and sister in law have a lovely house on the waterway. Was their 50th wedding anniversary so they had a little party at their home this evening, and I was able to use the opportunity to snap a few pics of life on the waterway before it became too dark. (and yes, I do sometimes feel quite envious - but hey, life is what you make it, so much better to just be content)
@beckyk365 It is great being close to the water. I have a 15 minute walk to get to the water (or a 5 minute drive), but so interesting to be at my brother in law's house and see the sunset colours unfolding right there in front of you. I probably wouldn't do any work if I lived there. LOL
@narayani Yes absolutely. I often recall the fact that if we had bought a place on the water I wouldn't have had the granny cottage on our property so I wouldn't have had my parents living with me. The years I spent with them went by all too quickly, and that time and memories irreplaceable and more important than any view
@lynnz Thanks Lynn. I have always loved water and reflections so for me a no brainer to leave everyone sitting inside with their wine and snacks looking out through the glass while I took myself outside to enjoy the silence and colours
