Late last night I had to take Tug to the emergency veterinary hospital in Langebaan some 45 minutes drive away, as he had deteriorated rapidly despite visit to vet in the day. The vet phoned this morning to say he's doing better and I could visit at 12.30 and bring treat food to encourage him to eat. After a frantically busy morning walking other 3 dogs and seeing guests out of apartment, I realised nothing but a cup of coffee all day was probably not the wisest decision when I had to drive 45 minutes each way on a busy, fast moving arterial road, so packed cucumber sticks grapes and cheese to eat in the car on my journey to visit Tug
