Wanted to put fuel in my car today as I hate having the tank too low so I popped intothe fishing harbour just a short distance further. (I live so far away from civilisation that I like to know I always have enough fuel to get me at least as far as Cape Town in case of any kind of emergency)
@narayani Thanks very much, narayani @ludwigsdiana thanks Diana. I don't know what they mainly fish - I just know that they are not bottom trawlers but trawl the middle of the ocean. I guess snoek is included in their range of fish as it is a very common fish around here - ie at the fish 'n chip shop we can order hake and chips or snoek and chips.
@meotzi Hahaha. Nope it's pronounced snook. A very bony fish but with big strong bones so you are unlikely to swallow one and get it stuck in your throat. And a very tasty fish too. Nothing quite like fresh smoked snoek
